Check out our vast selection of thanksgiving kids crafts! Use these with your kids, or students, to help celebrate this holiday.

A little history ... Thanksgiving is mainly celebrated in Canada and United States. Each is on a different day as well. For Canada, it is the second Monday of October. For the US, it is fourth Thursday of November. But Canadian or American, it is a day of thanks for all that god has given us. The festivities include a large turkey dinner and a lot of family!

Hand Print Turkey
This is really using your hands!! Your parents may call you a turkey, well now with this thanksgiving kids crafts you can use your turkey hands to create a turkey to put on the wall!

What you Need:
  • Construction Paper
  • Marker
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Paper Plate
  1. Color your paper plate brown. This is the body of our turkey.
  2. Cut out a circle about half the size of the paper plate. This will be our turkey head. Draw two eyes and a beak (you an also use white construction paper for eyes, and orange construction paper to make a beak.)
  3. Glue the head at the top center of your turkey body.
  4. Trace your hands 6-8 times. Use red, orange, yellow and brown construction paper.
  5. Cut out your handprints. Glue then to the back of the plate as the turkey's tail.
JAZZ IT UP!! Add large googly eyes, and make the beak 3D!.

Use this thanksgiving craft for kids as a centerpiece for thanksgiving dinner. All you need is construction paper and glue!

What you Need:

  • Glue
  • scissors
  1. Cut out eight 1 inch stripes of orange construction paper.

  3. Bend 2 stripes, creating a circle. Add the other six evenly around the circle you created

  5. Use a brown piece of contruction paper for the stem.

JAZZ IT UP!! Use pipecleaners for the stem top of the pumpkin.

Here's another thanksgiving kids craft, to give a special touch to the thanksgiving dinner, use these homemade napkin rings for a special touch to the table.


Thanksgiving Crafts for Kids What you Need:
  • Construction Paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Toilet Paper Roll
  1. Cut your different color construction paper into 1 inch strips. Use thanksgiving themed colors (red, orange, yellow, brown). Use a toilet paper roll and cut it into three pieces. Repeat for the amount you will need.

  2. Glue the strips of construction paper onto the toilet paper rolls.

  3. Create thanksgiving images out of construction paper or foam to glue on the front of each napkin ring. You can draw things like pumpkins, cornicopias, pilgrims, turkeys, etc.
  4. Glue the images onto the napkin rolls.

JAZZ IT UP!! Instead of drawing your thanksgiving designs right on the construction paper, create them out of craft foam and glue them on the front.
