I am really enjoying my range of Care Bear crafts, and this Good Luck Bear craft is just in time to help you celebrate St Patrick’s Day!! Will he bring you the luck of the Irish and help you find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?

If you were addicted to the Care Bears when you were a kid chances are you will remember Good Luck Bear! His saying was ‘Lucky for you I’m here’. Let us face it we all need some luck coming our way especially with everything going on in the world right now!

This little green bear is the perfect company for my Love-a-Lot Care Bear craft. Why not make both and then you will have two Care Bears for pretend play. 

You can also make him with some of my other brilliant St Patrick Day crafts for kids. He is green after all and a lucky charm just like my leprechauns!

Good Luck Bear Craft

Materials

  • 1. Craft Papers.
  • 2. Toilet paper Roll
  • 3. Scissors.
  • 4. Pencil
  • 5. Ruler.
  • 6. Glue.
  • 7. Markers

Instructions

Step 1:

Let’s start by printing out the template and using green shades of craft papers to cut out the pieces for the bear. Remember some of the template needs to be white too.

Step 2:

Glue the bear’s mouth, paws and ears together. Glue the mouth onto the head. Glue the shamrock to the large white shape for the body

Then, glue the paws on the feet.

Now, glue the small white circle on to the top part of the
head (the ears).

You can use the image below to ensure you have followed these instructions correctly.

Step 3:

Glue two googly eyes onto the bear.

Step 4:

Use a green and black marker pen to draw outlines on the pieces, and draw a heart-shaped nose on the bear.

Step 5:

Take a green craft paper large enough to wrap and cover the toilet paper roll.

Step 6:

Wrap the toilet paper roll using the craft paper.

Secure the wrap using glue.

Step 7:

Now glue the stomach piece with the shamrock in the middle of the toilet paper roll, slightly towards the bottom.

Step 8:

Then glue the bear’s head on top of the paper roll.

Step 9:

Now glue the bear's arms onto the side of the paper roll

Step 10:

Finish it off by sticking the paws/feet on the bottom of the paper roll.
