Bunny Holding an Easter Egg Craft

As soon as Spring starts my kids and I start Easter crafts! One of our favorites is this Bunny Holding an Easter Egg! After all Easter is about bunnies and chocolate eggs so there is no better combination.

Easter is commonly at the end of March or April when daytime gets longer and better weather is apparent. It is a great time of the year for getting the kids outdoors and going on Easter egg hunts.

If you are not lucky enough to find a Bunny you can make your own using paper, scissors and some colored paper! I even have a free template and step by step instructions to help you.

The good thing is you can decorate these however you wish. You can use them as a picture on their own right or stick them onto some cardstock and make a Happy Easter Card for a friend!

I have lots of great Easter Bunny crafts for kids

Bunny Holding an Easter Egg Craft

One of my favorite March crafts is this Bunny Holding an Easter Egg. Perfect paper craft for kids that comes with a free template.

  • 1. Colored craft papers
  • 2. Craft glue
  • 3. Pencil
  • 4. Scissors

Step 1:

Select colored craft papers for the bunny and the egg craft.

Trace the bunny patterns (outer ear patterns, head, body and upper legs) on a paper, trace the lower legs on a different shade of the same colored paper and trace the inner ear patterns and the 2 small circles (blush) on pink colored craft paper.

Step 2:

Stick the inner ear patterns on the outer ear cutouts and the small pink round cutouts on both cheeks. Stick the lower legs (paws) along the bottom side of the body pattern.

Step 3:

Stick the ear patterns on the top side of the head cutout.

Step 4:

Stick the upper leg cutouts on both sides of the body cutout. Apply glue along the edge only and keep the rest of the cutouts free from glue.

Step 5:
Stick the head cutout on the top side of the body cutout.
