Snowman Cotton Ball Craft for Kids

Winter is the coldest month and the kids may be stuck inside when it gets too cold to even play outside.

These are great crafts to do on those freezing winter days. They stimulate creativity and keep tiny hands and minds busy (great for Moms too).

This winter snowman craft gives some textile interaction too. (though snowmen are not fuzzy in real life)

Use this craft in school or at home to create snowmen that will not melt and are not cold!

We’ve also made an igloo craft that uses cotton balls too. Why not do a Winter themed week of ice and snow crafts for your littles.  My list of easy crafts with cotton will help you do this!

  • Googly eyes
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Hole punch

Instructions

    Step #1:

Take three cotton balls.

Leave one at its regular size. Make the other two slightly larger than the previous. Just like a snowman has a small, medium and large ball. Glue these in the center of your blue paper.

Step #2:

Glue your two googly eyes to the smallest cotton ball.

Step #3:

Take a piece of the orange pipe cleaner that is about an inch long. Bend it into a V shape. Glue this below the googly eyes.

Step #4:

Punch out three black holes with the hole punch. Glue these as your buttons on the snowman.

Step #5:

With the white paper cut out a strip that will cover the bottom section of the blue paper.

Cut a grove where the snowman will sit. Glue this in place.

Step #6

Punch out a number of white circles out of the white paper. Glue these all over as snow.

Notes

You could easily stick this onto a Christmas card or even make it into a picture!
