Christmas Elf Bookmark Craft for Kids

Make your kids reading and learning fun in December with this Christmas Elf bookmark craft. Colored craft papers and my free template help you make a pair of naughty elves who will watch your children as they read! 

Many parents are frantically looking for ways to keep the kids entertained and away from screens. I know the feeling as my son is addicted to his tablet right now especially since it is raining everytime we look out the window!

One of the best ways to do so is by engaging your child in a craft they are interested in. As my 5 year old has just started reading he is interested in books and anything to do with them. He also loves Elf on the Shelf!

Perfect idea for him was my Christmas elves bookmarks craft. He already has completed a few of my other popular elf crafts for kids and I knew he would love to make some little elves that he can slot into his books.

He also likes to use bookmarks as puppets and puts them inside his vehicles and tractors so I knew this activity would keep him engaged for ages while he carries it out and then uses it for pretend play afterwards.

Christmas Elf Bookmark Craft for Kids

This Christmas Elf Bookmark Craft for kids will keep children who love naughty elves and reading entertained this year.

Print

Materials

• Cardstock paper.
• Craft papers.
• Pencil.
• Ruler.
• Scissors.
• Glue.
• Marker pens.

Instructions

Step 1:

Print out the PDF templates and gather the supplies.

Cut out the pieces from the templates.

Step 2:

Glue the elf’s collar and hat’s lace on the bookmark’s base.

Step 3:

Then, glue the head and ears on the base.

Step 4:

Glue the sleeves on the base.

Step 5:

Glue the buttons on the shirt/base.

Step 6:

Glue the hair(fringe/bangs) on the head.

Step 7:

Glue the eyes and the nose on the elf’s face.

Step 8:

Draw the lips using marker pens to finish your elf bookmark.
