Every year I decide to focus on certain types of crafts with my children. Last year we tried to do lots of different Christmas toilet paper roll crafts so this year I wanted to do something different.

My main focus this year are reindeer crafts and pop up cards for Christmas. There are so many different options for these and so far we have done a snowman version and a Santa Claus.

I opted for a pop up Gingerbread Man card craft as my little kids love to make the Gingerbread house and I knew they would love to make this alongside it. We love doing related crafts together.

Gingerbread Man Pop Up Card for Christmas

This Gingerbread man pop up card for Christmas is a great craft for little kids

Materials

Cardstock paper.
Colourful craft paper.
Pencil.
Ruler.
Scissors.
Glue.
Marker pens.

Instructions

Step 1:

Cut out 6-7 inches long by 4-5 inches width brown craft paper for the gingerbread man.

Step 2:

Fold it into six even accordion folds.

Step 3:

Then use the templates to cut out the shape for the gingerbread man from the brown craft paper.

Step 4:

Open the fold to reveal your gingerbread man.

Step 5:

Cut out the decorations for the gingerbread man using the PDF templates.

Step 6:

Glue the white zigzags and the buttons on the gingerbread man.

Step 7:

Then use markers to draw the gingerbread man’s face,

Step 8:

Cut out your card from cardstock paper.

Step 9:

Apply glue on the back of the gingerbread man.

Step 10:

Glue the gingerbread man on the card.

Step 11:

Cut out the “happy Christmas” letters from the template.

Step 12:

Glue the letters on top of the card.

Step 13:

Then glue the lollipops to complete your Gingerbread man pop up card for Christmas.
