Eskimo Craft With Paper Plate

During Winter my kids spend lots of time crafting and one of our favorites is my eskimo craft with paper plate. All kids want to be an eskimo with their warm clothing on a snowy cold day!

My house I full of paper plates. I think I paid £1 for 80 (I live in the UK) but I know you can get them from the dollar store too.

They are one of the best craft materials to buy because you can do so much with them! If you do not believe me check out all the paper plate animals I have made!

Children will want to learn all about the life of an eskimo whilst doing this craft. I found a great website suitable for kids that provides lots of information. 

Why not pair it with my Igloo craft, which eskimo build for shelter and educate them at the same time!

Eskimo Craft With Paper Plate

This Eskimo craft with paper plate is the perfect Winter craft for kids on a snowy day!

Tools

• Paper plate
• Cotton balls
• Quick dry tacky glue or school glue
• Scissors
• Eskimo Template File

Instructions

Print the Eskimo Template file of your choosing (it is in color so you have no need to buy colored craft papers)

Allow children to create the Eskimo by gluing the paper features to create the face and then the cotton balls to the edge of the paper plate.

Create a fringe using scissors before gluing the hair onto the paper plate

I always find it is a good idea to have a picture of the finished craft beside you.

This craft with paper plate is a good way to test kid’s fine motor skills as well as their creativity!

Why not make a few eskimo’s with different eye colors. You could also experiment with different hair styles also!
