Pot of Gold St Patrick’s Day Craft for Kids

With our Pot of Gold St Patrick’s Day craft for kids there is no more need to search for the end of a rainbow for one. There is no more need to chase leprechauns for their gold.

We will teach you how to make your very own pot of gold.

St Patrick’s Day is celebrated every year on March 17th. It is an Irish tradition, and holiday. It is mean to celebrate the patron saint Patrick, and is celebrated on the date of his death.

There are fun traditions and stories that go with St Patricks Day.

There is the myth that at the end of a rainbow there is a leprechaun’s pot of gold. Well, we have never been able to find the end of any rainbows we saw, so we thought we would make our very own pot of gold!

We can fill it with whatever we wish, gold coins or a small treat.

Step #2:

Take the green pipe cleaner and shape it into a four leaf clover.

You could make a three leaf one, but it is said that the four leaf clovers are lucky.

Step #3:

Glue the clover onto the front of your cup. Make sure not to do this until the cup is dry.

Break open your piggy bank, raid mom and dad’s pockers, and check under the couch cushions for all the loose change you can find!

Let’s fill our pot of gold!

Look What Our Visiting Crafty Critters Have Created

From Madison, in Ohio (with help from mom, Karen)

My daughter Madison had a great time today making some of your wonderful crafts you have on this site.  She is 8 years old, and was able to go through your site all by herself, pick out some of her favorites, and follow your easy step by step instructions.

She wanted me to share her version of the Pot of Gold craft on your site.  She used a clear plastic Solo cup instead of a Styrofoam cup.

She is using it on her dresser to hold spare change.

Thank you for the adorable craft idea!
