Squirrel Headband Craft/Squirrel Crown
Fall is the perfect time to get kids to fall in love with crafting as cooler days send little ones indoors more. I hate excess screen time so I encourage coloring and crafting!
I love animal themed crafts for Fall especially my fun squirrel crafts! My squirrel wreath is hugely popular come October and you can see why below!
Enough about that and more about crowns!! All little kids love to dress up whether it be in a cat mask or witches hat!
My Easter holy week crown is a huge hit and I know kids from aged 3 right up to 9 will love making my squirrel headband!
The best news is that it’s super quick and can be made in the classroom or at home using my free template and step by step instructions!
How to Make a Squirrel Crown Step by Step Instructions
Supplies:
- Colorful Craft Paper.
- Cardstock.
- Pencil.
- Ruler.
- Scissors.
- Glue.
- Marker Pens.

Instructions:
Step 1:
Use the PDF templates to trace the squirrel pattern on colorful craft papers. Then, use a pair of scissors to cut them out.
Step 2:
Use similar shaded Sharpies to make outlines on the patterns.
Step 3:
Glue the squirrel’s face and head pattern together.
Step 4:
Glue the small pink ear patterns inside the larger ear patterns.
Step 5:
Glue the ears on two sides of the head.
Step 6:
Glue the nose in the middle part of the squirrel’s face.
Step 7:
Glue the two eyes on two sides.
Step 8:
Use a thin black pen to draw the mouth and teeth.
Then, draw two pink cheeks on both sides of the face.
Step 9:
Cut out two straps of thick paper strips. Measure the diameter of your crown before cutting the straps.
Step 10:
Glue the two paper straps together or use a tape to make a ring shape.
Step 11:
Glue the squirrel on the ring to finish your squirrel headband/ crown craft.
