Santa Napkin Rings

Easy kids Christmas crafts include these Santa napkin rings that will get your kids involved in decorating for Christmas dinner. We’ve thought up a fun way to make some home-made Christmas napkin rings to hold your dinner napkins.

DIY Christmas Napkin Rings

It is always fun to find things around the house and re-use them for crafts.

For this craft we are using paper rolls. So find some empty paper towel rolls or toilet paper rolls to re-create these santa napkin rings.

These are a great way to decorate the table for the holiday season. You can also add elf belts too by simply following the same instructions just paint them green instead of red.

Santa Napkin Rings

Yield: 1
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Active Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Difficulty: easy

An easy kids Christmas craft idea that lets them make some useful table decor, in the form of Santa napkin rings.

Aimed at school age kids.

Materials

  • Paper rolls
  • Red paint
  • Paint brush
  • Yellow construction paper
  • Gold glitter paint
  • Cotton balls
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Instructions

    Step #1:

Cut your paper rolls into pieces about 1.5-2 inches wide. Cut out as many as you will need for your dinner table (usually between 6-8).

Step #2:

Paint the roll pieces with red paint. Set aside to dry.

Remember, if you want some elves too you can paint some of your rolls with green paint instead.

Step #3:

While your rolls are drying, let's create Santa's belt buckles. With the yellow paper cut out a square, and then cut a square out of the center of your square.

Repeat this 6-8 times (depending on how many you are making).

Step #4:

Paint all the belt buckles with gold glitter paint, be sure they are coated completely so they are super sparkly. Set these aside to dry.

Step #5:

Pull apart a cotton ball into lengths - it ends up looking like strings of cotton.

Dab some glue around the entire edge of the paper roll, glue a string of cotton around the edge. Repeat this for both sides, and for all your rings.

Now that those easy kids christmas crafts are done…

just slide your napkins into each ring and you are ready for your Christmas dinner!
