Outer Space Paper Plate Craft with Moving Rockets

I love my outer Space paper plate craft with moving rockets! We all know that kids love space rockets and they love crafts that they can play with afterwards and this totally fits the bill.

Kids love to dream about going to Space one day and now they can pretend they are flying around in this movable rocket in Outer Space! 

I have two rockets, each which can be moved with the use of an attached popsicle stick! You can see how the rockets can be moved about in the video below.

Space crafts and activities are becoming increasingly popular with boys and girls! I have a few others that you might want to try as well as this one.

Outer Space Paper Plate Craft with Moving Rockets

Materials

• Paper plate.
• Colorful Craft papers.
• Pencil.
• Ruler
• Scissors.
• Glue.
• Cardstock or popsicle sticks

Instructions

Step 1:

Cut out all the pieces for your rocket using the PDF template. 

Step 2: 

First, glue the rocket's nose cone on the top. 

Then glue the fin on the bottom. 

Step: 3

Now, glue the flame on the bottom of the fin.

And then glue the window in the middle part of the rocket. 

Step 4:

Glue the rest of the fins on two sides of the rocket. 

Step 5:

Glue a long cardstock on the back of the rocket, you can also use popsicle sticks if you want. 

Step 6:

Select your paper plate.

Step 7:

Make small slits on the bottom edges of the paper plate. 

Step 8:

Cut out the background for your plate using colorful craft papers. 

Step 9:

Paint or glue some stars on the background. 

Step 10:

Now glue the circular paper with the paper plate.

And then put the paper strips of the rockets through the skits on the paper plate. 

What else might you add to this cute flying rocket craft with paper plate? Would you add some planets or how about some stars? You could add a large star and attach a popsicle stick to make it into a shooting star!
