Our tree crafts for kids will help you to make your very own mini palm trees - a great way to bring the beach feel to the crafting table.
The supplies are simple and the instructions are easy to follow.
We love palm trees, though we have never actually seen one in person. We think of them especially when those winter month's hit.
A fun way to recycle a paper roll is to make your own mini palm trees. And why not make our monkey crafts for kids too so you have a monkey to climb the tree.
Cut your paper towel roll about a third of the way down. We want to use the longer section. On one end, cut strips into the roll about half way down.
Paint the other half (the half that is not cut into strips) with brown paint. Set it aside to dry.
While it's drying why not check out some of our other summer crafts for kids that you can do while you wait.
Paint the other half of the paper roll (the half we cut into strips) with green paint. Allow this to dry completely.
Once your green paint is dry, take a pencil and wrap one of the strips around it to curl it. Repeat this process for all the strips.
Once all the ends are curled, bend them so they are just slightly curled not completely touching the trunk of your tree.
Paint all the leaves of your palm tree with green paint. Set it aside to dry again.
Pick out three pom poms, in shades of brown. Glue them together into a bunch.
Glue your pom pom coconuts onto your palm tree just below the leaves.
Our palm tree crafts for kids are complete! Now you will always have the beach feel no matter where you are.
Now, let's make a monkey to go with it with some of our monkey crafts for kids.
