Our Ladybug Toilet Paper Roll Craft for kids will show you the cuter side off all those itsy bitsy critters. Afraid of spiders or bugs? You won’t be afraid of these ones – they are adorable!
First we will start with an adorable ladybug craft and then we will give you some great ideas for spiders, caterpillars, butterflies and more!
We think that creating bug crafts is a great way to teach about these little critters indoors, and maybe even take away their fear of these in the real world!
Little Crafting, Then a Little Learning!
Once you have spent the afternoon crafting up these bug crafts for kids you can follow it up with a hike in the woods to find the real thing – just make sure if they bite or sting you don’t touch them!
There is no need to be scared of these bug crafts.
Bug Crafts for Kids: Ladybug Toilet Paper Roll Craft
- Paper roll
- Markers (red & black)
- Googly eyes
- Pom poms
- 5 years and up
Time to Complete:
- 30 minutes
Cut your paper roll into thirds. We will use one third for our ladybug. Cut one side and leave a half circle for our ladybug head.
Draw a circle from the bottom of yourhalf moon area of paper roll. Color all the roll read, except for that circle.
Color the circle with black marker, leave a circle in the center for its nose – color this red. Add black dots all around the paper roll, these are your lady bugs’ spots.
Glue googley eyes onto the blackcircle area of your paper roll. Draw on a mouth as well.
Bend a red pipe cleaner into a Vshape. Glue a black pom pom to each end of the pipecleaner. Glue this onto theback of where your ladybugs head is.
