Now that Fall has arrived it is time to do my simple Mayflower craft with Pilgrim people. It is a simple activity involving a paper plate and some colored craft papers.

The Mayflower is a famous ship that took English and Dutch people to America 400 years ago in 1620 for a new life! They were known as Pilgrims! Travel back in time with my history craft!

This easy Mayflower Thanksgiving craft comes with step by step craft process and images to help young kids and their Moms complete this!

It requires very few craft materials, which you probably already have in your cupboards at home.

Mayflower Thanksgiving Craft with Pilgrim People

Now that Fall has arrived it is time to do my simple Mayflower Thanksgiving craft with Pilgrim people. It is a simple activity involving a paper plate and some colored craft papers.

Materials

Paper plate.
Craft papers.
Pencil.
Ruler.
Scissors.
Glue.
Popsicle Stick.
Marker pen.

Instructions

Print out the PDF templates before starting this Mayflower Thanksgiving Craft with Pilgrim People.

Step 1:

Cut out the characters, ship and backgrounds from the PDF templates.

Step 2:

Glue the characters clothes onto them.

Step 3:

Glue the hat and the fur headband on the characters heads.

Step 4:

Draw the characters faces using a marker pen.

Step 5:

Glue the popsicle sticks on the back of the characters. This turns them into Pilgrim puppets which you can move about as if they are walking.

You can also use them for other pretend play as they are not directly attached to the paper plate.

Step 6:

Glue the masts to the ship.

Step 7:

Then, glue the sails on the masts.

Step 8:

Glue the windows/gunport on the ship.

Step 9:

Glue a popsicle stick on the back of the ship. This makes a Mayflower ship puppet which you can move around as if it is sailing in the sea.

Step 10:

Take the paper plate and cut the corners to put the popsicle sticks through.

Step 11:

Collect your backgrounds from the template.

Step 12:

Place the backgrounds inside the paper plate.

Step 13:

Place the ship and characters inside the paper plate to complete your Mayflower Thanksgiving paper plate craft with pilgrim paper
